Reopening

The preschool is open as normal.

However Baby and Toddler Group will remain closed at the moment. We will update you when we are going to reopen the group.

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions we are unable to invite any new prospective families into the pre-school to have a look around and see what we do.

We have created this video for you to see our set-up and get a feel for our setting. https://www.facebook.com/342092452982234/videos/1084866441928738

Great Tey Pre-School welcomes all children aged from the age of two to school age. The pre-school has been running over 45 years. We were rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in March 2018. Please read our report here.

Great Tey Pre-School is 15 minutes drive from Stanway, and welcomes children from all surrounding areas. Our children go to schools in Great Tey, Marks Tey, Chappel, Stanway, Earls Colne and Fordham. We also run a baby and toddler group on a Wednesday morning, please click on the page on the left to find out all about it.

Our dedicated team of practitioners and parents work together to provide a secure and stimulating learning environment, we would love to have you and your child join us. Please find our SEND Offer here.

Our role in your child’s development is something we are passionate about, our staff members have a wealth of knowledge and experience that they bring to the pre-school. Please read our Prospectus here.

‘Children make good progress from their staring points. Staff successfully involve parents in their children’s learning, and systems to share information are extremely effective.’ (Ofsted Report, March 2018)

The pre-school has a number of exciting events that we organise throughout the year for parents, carers and children to enjoy, including:

  • Christmas Fayre
  • Christmas Production
  • Sports Day
  • Children’s Christmas and End of Year Party
  • Annual Leavers Production

‘Staff have a secure knowledge of how children learn. They use this to provide an environment that ignites children’s imagination and problem solving skills. This is achieved through a well-planned, free-flow play environment.’ (Ofsted Report, 2015)
